Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany and the most populous region in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Rhine divides the city into the “right”, the cathedral side and the “Schäl Sick”, the wrong side of Cologne. Barely 250 meters from the Rhine, the Cologne Cathedral cannot be overlooked. With its 157.8 meters, the cathedral is the third highest church building in the world. “Kölle is e Jeföhl”, that is not just said. You can speak, feel and taste Kölsch. The Cologne language is a dialect in which words such as “was” or “das” become “wat” or “dat”. In addition, the people of Cologne speak a “J” instead of a “G”. From Kölsch rock to carnival, the songs of well-known Cologne bands are sung with this dialect. Although the people of Cologne can be divided into groups that use the dialect to a greater or lesser extent, it is impossible to completely escape the Cologne language in any of the eighty-six districts known to the people of Cologne as “Veedel”. “Et kölsche Jrundjesetz” contains eleven idioms that describe the Cologne idiosyncrasies and the Cologne way of life. It is precisely this unique way of life that makes Cologne an ideal location for corporate events and team building of all kinds.
